Are you a working mother? If you are, you understand how challenging it is to balance the demands of your career with your family life. My children are 7 and 10 years old. While I’m no expert, I was flattered when Barbara Arnondin the co-founder of metroplexbaby.com asked if I would like to be featured as their May Metroplex Mom of the month.
For the past 2 years, I have been working 2 full-time jobs (TV meteorologist and Children’s Author) while also trying to be a the best mom, wife, friend, home organizer, cook, shopper, gardener, party hostess, handyman, list maker I can be. Sometimes I fail miserably, and sometimes I am amazed on the rare occasion I do get it all done.
Here’s the interview…enjoy..and I’d love to hear your thoughts about how you handle “The Balancing Act”.

If you’ve never checked out www.metroplexbaby.com …you should. Spend a few minutes browsing a world of information just for moms. You’ll find all kinds of great ways to connect with other moms just like you.
And a big thank you to Barbara for making this interview so easy and fun.

I think it is incredibly unfortunate that this took place. You were one of the main reasons why we watched the Channel 11 news and for them to immediately turn their back on you like you never existed is wrong. But, it is a sign of the times. Coming from someone who was laid off last year, the company continues on like nothing happened – very inhuman and callous.
You do wonderful work and wish you the best of luck in the future!
Hi Kristine,
Erica & I Both were shocked with how CBS 11 has treated you the past year.
So you know, We have turned CHANNEL 11 off & we hope all your loyal viewers do the same…
You were the one local weather person that we depended on & welcomed into our home each & every day.
You will be missed by us both Kristine & I am sure so many other DFW Viewers…
Please know that we wish you all the best & hope if the opportunity arises for you to return to tv (Cmon Fox 4 & Kxas 5) we will tune in as we have for several years…
Thank you, Kristine…
Your Friends, Michael & Erica.
